This is the third video I’ve shot with my director friend Armen Varadian. I think he is a great director not only because he has a keen eye for a cool shot (with a difficult subject), but he also has a way of tapping into the meaning of a song without being too obvious. We shot this just before the new year on a chilly day in and around Boston. I hope you enjoy it.

I am writing this on a flight right now, heading home from a two week trip to India. The plane is a symphony of babies crying, people coughing, a Vietnamese mother of two throwing up in the next row (we talked before the flight) and the woman in the seat next to me applying incredibly toxic smelling nail polish. It is a perfect stew for sleeplessness and hence, the best time to write a newsletter.

As I slide into my seat on my flight from Chicago to Boston, the overly calm voice of the pilot informs us that this will be an "extremely bumpy flight". For some reason, it doesn't phase me in the least because I am feeling a huge sense of gratitude right now. As summer marches toward its final bow and the soon to be transformed trees stand waiting in the wings, I am reminded that, wow, it went by pretty quickly. Typically, I take as much of the summer off as my budget will allow but this year I decided to spend some time working with my band of brothers, The Push Stars.
